Tension ~
22sts = 4” (10cm)
Measurements ~
Width: 17 " (43cm)
Length: 8½ “ (21.5cm)
Sleeve Length: 5” (13cm)
Pattern Instructions ~
Begin with the Sleeves (work 2)
Using 4mm needles, cast on 25sts
Work 6 rows in garter stitch (knit every row)
Work 34 rows in stocking stitch, increasing one stitch at each end of 5th, 13th and 21st rows (31sts)
The sleeve should now measure about 5½” – you can add more rows if required
Next Row: Cast off 3sts, work to last 3sts, cast off 3sts (25sts)
Leave these 25 stitches on a spare needle
Work the Main Part
Using 4.5mm needles, cast on 86 stitches
Knit 2 rows
3rd Row: S1, k5, * yrn, k3, slip the first stitch of these 3sts over the 2nd and 3rd sts; repeat from * to last 5sts, k5
4th Row: S1, k4, purl to last 5sts, k5
5th Row: S1, k4, * k3, slip the first stitch of these 3sts over the 2nd and 3rd sts, yrn; repeat from * to last 6sts, k6
6th Row: S1, k4, purl to last 5sts, k5
Repeat the last 4 rows 7 times more
Next Row S1, knit 19sts, cast off 5sts, knit 35sts, cast off 5sts, k19sts
Continue using 4mm needles ~
Next Row: S1, k4, p15, purl across 25sts from the first sleeve, purl 36sts from the back, purl 25sts from the second sleeve, purl 15sts from left front, k5 (126sts)
Work the Yoke
1st Row: S1, k2tog, yrn, k2, (makes a buttonhole), knit to end
2nd Row: S1, k4, purl to last 5sts, k5

4th Row: S1, k2, purl to last 3sts, k3
5th Row: S1, k4, * k3, slip the first stitch of these 3sts over the 2nd and 3rd sts, yrn; repeat from * to last 4sts, k4
6th Row: S1, k2, purl to last 3sts, k3
Repeat the last 4 rows once more
Knit 3 rows
Cast off loosely (you might like to use a stretchy cast off, or a larger needle)
To finish
Sew up the sleeve and underarm seams
Darn away ends
Add 3 little buttons
