Tension ~ 21sts = 4” (10cm)
Cast on 76sts
Knit 8 rows
Pattern:
1st Row: S1, knit to end
2nd Row: S1, k4, purl to last 5sts, k5
3rd Row: S1, k4, *K2tog, k2tog, yo, k1, yo, k1, yo, k1, yo, k2tog, k2tog, repeat from * to last 5sts, k5
4th Row: S1, knit to end
These 4 rows form the pattern
Repeat the last 4rows until the blanket is the length desired (around 13”)
(finish after a 4th pattern row)
Finish with a garter stitch border – knit 9 rows
Cast off knitwise
Darn away ends
Baby ~ 30”
DK yarn ~ around 240g
4.5mm needles
Tension ~ 21sts = 4” (10cm)
Cast on 155sts
Knit 10 rows
Pattern:
1st Row: S1, knit to end
2nd Row: S1, k5, purl to last 6sts, k6
3rd Row: S1, k5, *K2tog, k2tog, yo, k1, yo, k1, yo, k1, yo, k2tog, k2tog, repeat from * to last 6sts, k6
4th Row: S1, knit to end
These 4 rows form the pattern
Repeat the last 4rows until the blanket is the length desired (around 29”)
(finish after a 4th pattern row)
Finish with a garter stitch border – knit 11 rows
Cast off knitwise
Darn away ends
