and I decided that I would like to knit some to match Ben's Blanket.

It is such an easy stitch pattern to knit, and I love the result!

Requirements ~

DK (8ply) yarn

4mm needles

Measurements ~

Width: 4½ “ ~ 9” all around
Height: 4½ “

Pattern Instructions ~

Cast on 49sts

1^st Row S1, knit to end

Repeat this row 5 times more

7^th Row S1, knit to end

8^th Row S1, k1, *p3, k3, rep from * to last 5sts, p3, k2

Repeat last 2 rows 9 times more

Shape Top ~

27^th Row: * k4, k2tog, rep from * to last st, k1 (41sts)

28^th Row S1, purl to last st, k1

29^th Row: * k3, k2tog, rep from * to last st, k1 (33sts)

30^th Row S1, purl to last st, k1

31^st Row: * k2, k2tog, rep from * to last st, k1 (25sts)

32^nd Row S1, purl to last st, k1

33^rd Row: * k1, k2tog, rep from * to last st, k1 (17sts)

34^th Row          S1, purl to last st, k1

35^th Row:         * k2tog, rep from * to last st, k1                                   (9sts)

Cut yarn, leaving a tail to use for sewing up the side seam.

Draw yarn through remaining 5sts.    Fasten off.                   Sew seam.

30^th Row S1, purl to last st, k1

31^st Row: * k3, k2tog, rep from * to last st, k1 (37sts)

32^nd Row S1, purl to last st, k1

33^rd Row: * k2, k2tog, rep from * to last st, k1 (28sts)

34^th Row S1, purl to last st, k1

35^th Row: * k1, k2tog, rep from * to last st, k1 (19sts)

36^th Row S1, purl to last st, k1
