I am making these Easter Bunnies just for a bit of fun .......... :) Wish I was better at the faces !
These will be cute little Easter gifts ~ some with a chocolate egg inside - others with a large hard-boiled egg! I have very happy memories of decorating these when I was a girl - then rolling them down a hill along with all my sister, cousins and friends. Simple pastimes in those simpler days gone by. I wonder if children still do that? I always loved Easter time as a girl ..... not just for the chocolate ..... but also because it meant I would have a new dress (handmade by my Mum) and a pair of summer sandals.
Also ~ looking back I am sure Cadbury Crème Eggs used to be much bigger! When did they get so small?
I used DK (8ply) yarn and smaller size needles to make these. This gives a denser fabric and the contents do not show through so much. Toy makers often use this technique too.
