k2tog, then before you drop the stitch off the needle, put the point of your needle between the 2sts and knit the first stitch again, before slipping both off together

2^nd Row:  S1, k1, * p2, k2, repeat from * to last 3sts, p2, k1

3^rd Row:  S1, * T2, p2, repeat from * to last 4sts, T2, p1, k1

4^th Row:  S1, k1, * p2, k2, repeat from * to last 3sts, p2, k1

Repeat the last 4 rows 6 times more

Shape Top ~

29^thRow:   S1, * k2, p2tog, repeat from * to last 4sts, k2, p1, k1                 (38sts)

30^th Row:   S1, k1, * p2, k1, repeat from * to end

31^st Row:   S1,* k2tog, p1, repeat from * to last st, k1                                (26sts)

34^th Row:   P2tog across row to last st, p1                                                (7sts)

Cut the yarn leaving a ‘tail’.

With a yarn needle, pull the yarn through all the remaining loops and secure

Sew up side seam and weave in ends.

Large  Premature Baby –  11″ circumference, 5¼” high  

 Requires:

DK yarn ~ around 12g - 14g

4mm needles

Using 4mm needles & DK yarn, cast on 57sts

3^rd Row:  S1, * T2, p2, repeat from * to last 4sts, T2, p1, k1

Repeat the last 4 rows 7 times more
